Mississippi State University’s NWARC campus needed a major overhaul after years of ongoing leaks throughout the facility. Independent Roofing stepped in to completely rebuild the system — removing walls, applying waterproofing, and installing a new standing seam metal roof along with high-performance wall panels.

Challenge / Objective

The NWARC building had widespread leaks and moisture infiltration, with existing structural challenges related to drainage and outdated wall design. The goal was to create a watertight, visually appealing facility capable of withstanding Mississippi’s intense rainfall and weather conditions.

Solution

We began with a full tear-off, including removal of wall sections to expose problem areas. From there, we:

• Installed new sheeting and waterproofing around pat channels
• Applied a custom-designed standing seam metal roofing system
• Integrated both Designer Series and Artisan Series wall panels
• Resolved the long-standing brick ledge drainage issue that once caused significant internal water damage
  

The final product is a highly durable, modern facility with zero leaks — and a clean, impressive architectural presence.
