Project Overview

As part of the new Mississippi Federal Credit Union office construction in Ridgeland’s Colony Park, Independent Roofing Systems was selected to install the roof systems for both the main two-story structure and the adjacent drive-through building. In addition to the TPO roofing installation, the project included the installation of 1,750 square feet of architectural pavers on the second-floor terrace.

Challenge / Objective

Though the project did not present unusual structural or scheduling challenges, the success of this job depended on maintaining tight construction sequencing, coordinating trades on an active job site, and installing multiple roof components with a high degree of precision. The goal was to deliver a clean, watertight roof system and a usable second-story terrace with proper drainage and a clean architectural finish.

Solution

We delivered a comprehensive solution that included:

  • Installing a fully adhered 060 TPO roof system over new ¼” Securock coverboard and fully tapered rigid polyiso insulation

  • Using Hanover Architectural Pavers on the second-story balcony, installed over a precision pedestal system

  • Fabricating and installing over 820 linear feet of custom parapet coping and two-piece edge metal to secure flashing and complement the façade

  • Installing 9 roof drains for efficient water flow

  • Coordinating closely with general contractors and adjacent trades (plumbing, mechanical, stonework, and railing)
